Hey, I just got back from the model train shop, and they had the new rolling stock! Unfortunately they didn't have the new engines in yet. I would have bought some Express Coaches, but I didn't have enough money. So instead, I just got the brake van and an open wagon, plus some non-Thomas stuff. Anyway, I got to see all the new rolling stock, so here are my comments:
I didn't realize how long the Express Coaches are! If I eventually get them, they'll probably look silly on my tiny 18-inch radius curves!
The tank cars are all pretty good.
The orange-ish truck is just as lame as it looks in the pictures. I doubt that I'll be buying that one!
I may put up some pics of the ones I got, after I weather them.
Does anyone have any pictures or URLS of the entire Bachmann range? From what I've seen sofar, they seem far more, well, excellent than Hornby's "shortcut" models (save for Henry - he really WAS a 'Black Five..)
That there is more to nature, and to this, than meets the eye - That there are answers unknowable

The cargo car's simply a repainted Troublesome Truck. It's completely brown (although it looks more orange in the pic), and looks like something you'd get in a McDonald's Happy Meal. I doubt that it will be as popular as the other ones.
Henry does rather look as though he's either just recieved a nasty blow to the smokebox or has been on the psychadelic-coal that we see in TBM episode 12.
Yes, that expression is rather blank and disconcerting.
The Hornby range of models are based on the original descriptions as given by the Rev W Awdry, whilst the Bachmann models are based on the TV series models, which were originally built in Gauge 1 on Marklin Chassis, and are not entirely faithful to the original Awdry descriptions.
Still, neither range has my favourites, Edward and the Scottish Twins!
I saw the new models at a hobby show yesterday....They're all so small! But meh, I wouldin't know about model trains, anyway. Henry actually looks nice to me. But he'd be a bit better if the color was darker.

On the BachmannTrains forum, "the Bach-Man" said that Gordon and Henry are shipping, or already have shipped. Apparently, they'll be in stores just in time for Xmas. Cutting it a little close, eh Bachmann?!
EDIT: Yeah, gundam, I agree with you. The Hornby Scruffey looks alot better.
dtchapman1: So, Thunderbirds are go has finished the second third of season 3. So when will the final part come out? 2021 or 2065?

OJ: I hear the remaining episodes are back in the new year. It feels like it's only just come back and I wish we had seen the remaining series 2 now. That's three lots of hiatuses.
Jul 15, 2019 16:17:21 GMT
OJ: Ducktales did the same thing. Looks like it's the norm now. I'm beginning to dislike these series breaks. We the viewers would like to see a series at once without breaks. I thought this one of the reasons why Thomas was loosing to Paw Patrol.
Jul 15, 2019 16:19:07 GMT
dtchapman1: I think the reason why it felt like it only just came back is that, in essence we had a 4 parter episode. The run time for them is almost the same as all the movie's. Essentually we have had only 6 eisodes
Jul 15, 2019 16:56:51 GMT
dtchapman1: Ducktales has done something similar yes, but the breaks are nowhere near as spaced out as Thunderbirds are go. The space between the Ducktales episodes was (excluding the random episode) 127 days. Thunderbirds are go episodes was 357 days.

dtchapman1: *UPDATE* CITV has released a promo and it does contain a few seconds of the last 3rd. It also let's us look at the new Zero-X that they built. It looks like they purt TB2 and TB3 in a closet and that is the result of it.
Jul 15, 2019 21:16:33 GMT
dtchapman1: If may even have TB5 stuck on it later on. That has to be a reference to Thunderbirds 2086. It just has to be.
Jul 15, 2019 21:17:30 GMT
OJ: I wonder if Thunderbirds are Go is going to get a series 4. I hope it does but this scheduling has been a problem I feel.
Jul 16, 2019 14:34:46 GMT
dtchapman1: I genually believe that Season 4 is already in the works, but ITV have not made it public. If you think about it, the production team has been extremly secrative when it comes spoilers. Have we ever had a screen shot come out? A post by the voice actors?
Jul 16, 2019 20:10:05 GMT
dtchapman1: The trailer for the second third only came out 1 month before it aired and we only found out about Lee Majors playing Jeff Tracy 10 days before the airing.
Jul 16, 2019 20:14:16 GMT
dtchapman1: I'm posotive it has been confirmed. They just won't release it to the public until season 3 has finnished.

Fox: A warm welcome to Summer on SiF - and with it, the incoming ERS Competition 2019! A pre-announce post has been placed in the ERS Discussion forum, and the competition will go live as of Friday 26th July 2019. Don't be tardy, adventurers!

Renae: Looking forward to it! Can't wait to hear this year's theme. I fully intend on participating this time around. I think the last time I did was a few years ago, but I've been itching to stretch those creative muscles.
Jul 18, 2019 4:36:00 GMT
OJ: Good luck to those who enter the ERS competition. I look forward to seeing the winning entry.

OJ: It's comic con this weekend and Ducktales fans might want to look out for news. Last year character who would be appearing in series 2 were revealed so I'm guessing they might reveal characters who'll be appearing in upcoming episodes.
Jul 18, 2019 15:12:54 GMT
OJ: I'd be very surprised if Gosalyn WASN'T among those characters revealed.
