Spoiler Spoiler -No less than 5 people talking at the same time through the mic -A more-or-less universal agreement that the Thomas fanbase is... divisive at the very least -A viewing of several (actually only 3) episodes of TUGS -Two people having an enthusiastic conversation about the obvious while watching "Missing Gator" and "Our Tale of the Brave" while the rest try their best to politely ignore them (also I think a duet of that song happened too) -A very lengthy discussion about music, including some pieces played by our very own modandjclover, and jjlr singing "Rules and Regulations" and "Monsters Everywhere" -The revelation that "Rules and Regulations" sounds a lot like a certain Beatles song -A music video about cartoon ponies that will move your heart -Me deciding that posting a picture of myself from sixth grade was a perfectly good and sane idea -And an impromptu viewing of the first part of "Calling All Engines", an all-but-stated-to-be-a propaganda film narrated by the great Michael Brandon himself.

Darn it sounds like I missed a few things, sounded quite eventful. Oh well, I was on bike ride at the time . Atleast there wasn't another banana joke I hope, sorry DTChapman for mentioning that.
Well, I reckon it's about time we had another Group Viewing Session. I'm taking it upon myself to organise this one, and I thought we'd watch 'Tale Of The Brave' this time. I've found a full version of the film on YouTube (it's the UK dub by the way - I would prefer to watch this one over the US dub if it's alright with some users). I propose next Saturday (the 25th), at 8PM British Summer Time (3PM US Eastern, 12 Mid-day US Western, 2PM US Central). I will set up a TinyChat session & link to it around 10-20 minutes before we start the film. Feel free to come along! I might even throw in a few extra's as well...
Edit: On second thoughts, I propose that I may start it earlier, perhaps 7:30PM BST - no matter what time I start, I will link to the TinyChat session at some point before we start the film, likely after 7PM.
Another Edit: Please note that I may change the date of this Session, due to Outside Situations. Don't worry, it is on my agenda - just keep in mind that I may change the date at any given time...
Yet another edit: Apologies - this Session is now postponed until any-when from early November. My current computer is on it's very last leg, and I'm getting a newer computer very soon. I'll consider a date then...
Good news! I'm back online with a new Laptop, and I would like to announce a new Group Session. This ISN'T the 'Tale Of The Brave' showing I'd planned, that's for a later date. This is more of a test just to see that my Laptop runs Tinychat and my Microphone works. I intend to have fun though - we could watch a few episodes, discuss matters in the fandom and show, I could do a bit of karaoke ( ), etc.
I intend to have this session this Monday, the 3rd of November, around 1PM GMT (I'm not sure what time that will be where you are, but the session will likely last until 3PM GMT). I hope you can be there, and I'll post a link to the session in the Shoutbox on the day.
As mentioned in the Shoutbox earlier, my next Group Session is tomorrow at some point between 7pm & 8pm GMT (US times to be concluded). In this one, I intend to watch the many Winter/Christmas themed episodes of TTTE&F (no Winter Holidays here!), so even though I've no plans for a schedule for this, we shall be watching in order:
- Thomas, Terence & The Snow - Thomas' Christmas Party - Thomas & The Missing Christmas Tree - Thomas & Percy's Christmas Adventure - Special Funnel - Snow - The Snow Song - The Fogman - It's Only Snow - Jack Frost - Toby Had A Little Lamb - Winter Wonderland (song) - Snow Engine - Not So Hasty Puddings - Don't Tell Thomas - No Snow For Thomas - Santa's Little Engine - The Frozen Turntable - The Missing Christmas Decorations
I also intend to discuss various topics relating to the show & the fandom. So I hope for a good turnout!
I know that some people are bummed that they miss out, but even so I really don't mind watching S17-18 episodes again since they have replay value, I also enjoy talking to other members about the common interest.
I know this is late notice but tomorrow a 2pm EST I'm going to host a live TwitterChat with the #RestoreTheMagic hashtag. At the same time I'll drop a link in here and the shoutbox for a TinyChat and screen some Shining Time Station episodes and just talk. I'm not going to invite all of Twitter to that.
I'm thinking of having a session around Easter Time - here's a few details:
Date - 10th April
Times - 7pm GMT - 11AM US Pacific - 1PM US Central - 2PM US Eastern Note - timings are not final. Changes may be made ASAP Theme - General Discussion I'll take requests on what we watch throughout the evening, leaving time in between viewings for us to chat & talk about various. On a side note, as well as some Classic Episodes (S1-7) & of course Series 17-18, I'd like a few songs as well & maybe a handful of 'Tugs' episodes too, as well as fan-made content.
Hi guys. This Saturday the 25th I will be hosting the second #RestoreTheMagic twitter campaign restorethemagic.org/restorethemagic-will-host-a-new-twitter-party-on-saturday-april-25th-started-at-3pm-est/. At this time I will open the TwitterChat and the TinyChat to go with it where I'll screen the Station Closing arc from Shining Time Station Season 1, Reading through the first two parts of the TATMRR script scripted and maybe we'll watch the movie up to that point. This will be to get more people to sign, promote a letter writing campaign, and maybe to kick off fundraising for www.fireup2100.org. The chat will kick off at 3pm Eastern Standard Time and probably end when bored. I may sneak in some Series 18 episodes of Thomas and Friends.
