I'm another collector with a Black-wheeled Oliver, too.
My thinking is that the new Oliver will look much better than the one in the pic. The pic is OBVIOUSLY a prototype. Usually, the finished things look better than what we expected them to be.
Can't believe I never said this in the past but...
I collect the Wooden Railway. I do have the old Clickety-Clack Track as well as several models. I have a room set up where I build a layout and I usually detail my sets sort of like Jim522 does.
I have come into some money and am going to make a run to the toy store this weekend. A room in my house is getting fixed up, so I can't set up my finished Sodor til Friday. I'm definately buying new Henry and James models. The ONE and only Henry I have is from 1996. He's still got a good majority of his paint, but I need to retire him. James is from 1999 and needs to be retired too. Edward and Gordon I'm leaving alone. I'm also buying Molly, Neville, Arry and Bert double pack and Bill & Ben double pack.

zeldatheswordsm: Railway modelling hot take: Daylight under the boiler is overrated in OO, and it might be best to glue acetate shielding behind it on locos that have it to mitigate dust inflow. Especially locos where the body is actually screwed to the chassis.
