I agree with Penguin on the Slate Mine . When reading descriptions of it it sounds very unrealistic . I have very little view on THOMAS WOODEN RAILWAY for in my life I've only got the Wooden Stepney and that was it.......
I found a pic link for the SLATE MINE but it just errors on my computer
If that IS the Slate Mine, they're taking the mick there. Considering there's a crane, Percy and Mavis, and it's a quarry, it seems a likely candidate for a Ffarquhar Quarry set rather than a slate mine.

Mighty Mac and Proteus are sure to come, seeing as the first lot of S9 characters are out. The RWS characters definately aren't impossible, but I'm not sure they'll be out for a long while yet. I'm not too sure about Victor - he wasn't an official character, after all.

Victor probably won't be made. The magazine stories aren't really canon like the TV series, books and movie. I'd be surprised if Mighty Mac wasn't in the next release. But it seems to me that quite a lot of the new engines are reworked versions of older ones.
I think D7101 could be a good bet for a future release. Ertl and LC seem to borrow ideas from each other.
Ertl --> LC: Culdee D199 Wilbert
LC --> Ertl Frank Neil Catherine Flying Scotsman Henry's Forest Log Car Chinese Dragon (the giveaway on these last two lies in the names, which were never used in the television series).

zeldatheswordsm: Railway modelling hot take: Daylight under the boiler is overrated in OO, and it might be best to glue acetate shielding behind it on locos that have it to mitigate dust inflow. Especially locos where the body is actually screwed to the chassis.
