I remember Thomas & The Magic Railroad: Printshop. There was one part when you clicked on the engines, their theme played. When you clicked on Diesel 10, Duck's theme from the Runaway played since Diesel 10 didn't have a theme at the time.
I remember Thumper being in a TTTE PC game. Has anyone got that game?
BTW, Jim - what is the first game like, I think I'm interested!
There were 3 games in one. The first was a side-scrolling adventure game which saw you controlling Thomas to collect coaches and goods wagons to get to the station before the time expired. You would have to dodge the other engines coming straight for you and everything! Great fun!
The second was a 1-on-1 race game. You could play as one of the engines, of which there was a decent amount to choose from. You could even choose Bertie, which would transform the landscape into roadways. Like the adventure game, you would have to dodge the other engines (vans for Bertie), but there were also other elements such as stopping at signals and filling up with water. Also great fun.
The third was a good ol' traditional memory game where you had to find the pairs throughout the lines of playing cards. Each would be rendered with a character face. Much more fun against a human being, because once the computer's on a roll, they're on a roll!
Hopefully I have the full review somewhere along with the rest.
The first two in the list, the classics, are fantastic, while the following are good, except for "Building The New Line", which I felt left a lot to be desired.
Trouble on the Tracks was a game that I was thinking about getting. Now, I usually don't trust amazon reviews alone, but they said that in Trouble on the Tracks there were 5 or so activities with no variation whatsoever. By that I mean if you played the same activity again you would have to do the exact same scenario. (As if you were playing memory and the pictures were in the same place every time.)
The Genisis one is very good. You pick Thomas, Percy, James, Toby, or Duck at the start, then you get to colour in a picture of him (You can also change the colour of the driver's uniform, for durring play), then after you've given your driver a name, you can choose the main game, Race, or explore.
The main game involves traveling round a map, collecting strucks to take to a specific station. Some screen caps- (I was a bit clumsy with the paste button, so these arn't my best shots.)
Thought, for some reason, they gave James a wheel configuration of 4-4-0.
What I only have is "Trouble on the Tracks", and "Building the New Line".

Yes! I have that one and it still works. Thomas, Percy, Toby, James, Bill and Ben, Gordon and Bertie are the ones you can race with. It is pretty neat. The Thomas task thing is neat as well. Your Thomas and you pick up variious trucks and take them to the end. I cant find pics though.

zeldatheswordsm: Railway modelling hot take: Daylight under the boiler is overrated in OO, and it might be best to glue acetate shielding behind it on locos that have it to mitigate dust inflow. Especially locos where the body is actually screwed to the chassis.
