There certainly were a lot of mysterious breakdown train appearances when no engine was there. Like in Dirty Objects before Percy and Toby arrive we see the Breakdown Train. How'd it get there? Is it another Marklin engine appearance?
I just zoomed with my pc dvd player. The engine in the Flying Kipper is Henry. No doubt. But in Off the Rails, there is just not enough light to make a clear decision.
Unfortunately that is the maximum dvd resolution. In the first pic you can catch a glimps of Henry's face. In the second, the red stripe above his wheels and a bit of his yellow number 3.
It is far more obvious that it is Henry when you watch it in motion. In my pics, it all seems to blur together. I highly recommend that you zoom in on your DVD player or computer to see that it is indeed Henry. Now what he is pulling is completely mysterious to me.
********Of course, this is only my opinion. Im sure we will never come to a dead on conclusion. Hope to not offend anyone!
I think it was in the episode Ghost Engine when Percy is telling Thomas about the ghost.
No need to sound rude here, but that has absolutely nothing to do with the thread here. Perhaps you meant to put this in 'Episode Discussion' or something?
Anyway, getting back on topic here, we all know that the Marklin Engine was frequently used as a 'cameo' engine to pull background trains, and we know it was primarily seen in seasons 1 and 2. I just have one question though. At the beginning of 'Percy & the Signal', I saw an engine running by with a goods train before we saw Percy going by. (IMPORTANT NOTE: I am NOT referring to the background engine we also see to Percy's left.) The engine itself looks unfamiliar and I don't think it's Thomas, either. Anyone have any suggestions as to what it could be?
The Marklin model was used in times when the series was short of models such as series 1 & 2 but gradually they made more characters and from then, they used models such as Mavis and Duck and for the ghost in scardy engines... Donald/Douglas, and they also had the old models of characters to use as scrap engines, or the moulds they goofed up in, thats probley why they used scrap engines to make the 'halloween' ghost.
TheGreenBeetle: Probably not a good comparison

Sleeper Agent: But it does answer the apparently eternal question If you specified 'chicken egg' then it's the chicken as only it can lay a chicken egg and if the egg belongs to the newborn it's the chick's egg (and this could of become a cockerel ).

Nicholas: According to the latest theories, the egg came first containing the first chicken, it being a mutation taking place in a zygote from two proto-chickens around 58,000 years ago, themselves having evolved through thousands of years from theropods.

Nicholas: And, to come full circle, City of Truro was the first steam engine to reach a reported speed of 100mph, but Flying Scotsman was the first steam engine to reach an officially confirmed speed of 100mph.

PercyFan1998: Flying Scotsman was first gang. But I respect the idea of Truro being the possible first but I have my doubts.

Madness: I think the answer to that was mentioned on a show called 'Q.I'.

Gondarth: I keep looking for a release date for All Engines Go. I don't care about the reboot as it is, but I would laugh if it premiered on the day of my wedding (October 16th)

aspiegurl: October 2021's all I know, so it might be your wedding day

The Thomas Cynic: You could have a live screening party!

Gondarth: I would laugh if it is on the same day, but my wedding is on a Saturday, and that seems like a weird day to start airing a new show on Netflix, so I'm not holding my breath. You never know though...

TheGreenBeetle: For Father's Day today, I remembered when he was fond of Duke when I was a kid. So I shared him the video The True Stories & History Of Duke: The History Of TTTE to learn more on Duke. Special thanks to TrainBoy
