Your Forum Account Use
Your account on Sodor Island Forums is your own responsibility. The following rules are in place with regards to account usage on the forum.
Under the rules set by Proboards, which have to adhere to Internet Law, we cannot allow members under the age of 13 years old. Sodor Island Forums staff members reserve the right to delete any account holders we suspect of being under the age of 13 years old in compliance with the rules and agenda set out by Proboards.
The Staff reserve the right NOT to allow members to open more than one account at the one time. Anyone found to be doing this will be given an outright banning on both accounts.
If you've signed up for an account within the forum, we ask you to please use it. Posting on the forum allows us to know you're active and therefore, not just being a dead weight. If a new member hasn't posted within two weeks to a month of account activiation, it will be liable for deletion at the next board sweep event.
We ask that members DO NOT give out their accounts to others to browse the forum, this particularly includes outsiders/banned members. Anyone found to be in breach of this rule will be given an outright ban!
Self-Deletion of Account
Please remember, do not make this kind of decision lightly. When you delete your own account, we the staff are under absolutely no obligation to allow you to come back a short while later when you've changed your mind and realised you shouldn't have.
Self-Termination of Account
This is a growing problem. People asking Staff to disable their accounts and then deciding to come back at a later date. Self-termination of accounts will incur suspension until further notice. No accounts will be reactivated because the user 'feels like it'. Accounts may only be reactivated at the invitation of moderators and admins.
To sojourn elsewhere from this board does not mean that leaving requires termination. Board sweeps are conducted periodically, and if a user's account is wiped out, reactivation may be a possibility.
