When I’ve struggled with my mental health and it’s more often than I’d like my therapist said that even if you only do ten minutes a day on your hobby then at least you’ve done something. Believe me ten minutes a day soon turns in to 20 then 30 etc.

It's weird how it works... You need some energy in the first place to partake in your hobby, but once you start spending time on it it gives you more energy.
Please don't mind the "Death to Eclipse" signboards and captions, that's just me badmouthing my imagehost over forcing a rubbish UI on me. But they're still better than Photobucket and the pics stay up so..
Again, I'm ok generally but productivity-wise, other than printing some bits for people I'm not doing much for myself.
Well there's no obligation to go at any pace other than you're own Speaking of your customers saw the impressive line up bound for Oz! How's the printer issue going btw? Saw you old one was getting buggy while you'd also invested in an Elagoo Mars 2.
I think Guidex has been canceled now but the NEC one is still going ahead. Given how few are on this year the National Garden Railway Show last Sat was relatively quiet to my surprise but would be nice to meet again up in Nov and an expo might just give you a shot in the modelling arm
Have started a bit more NWR progress as of 2 days ago. Other than that have done sweet FA for myself pretty much.
That massive order to Oz recently been topped by an order that was about 2.5 times bigger! Might post a pic.
The Elegoo Mars 2 has been great so far. Print quality seems identical but it prints a little quicker and has about 1cm all round extra print space so it's defo a wee upgrade.
I fixed the faulty Photon by replacing the LCD projector. Did a test print after and perfect.
However, in my wee 3D printing shed I can only fit 2 so there is the original Photon and the new Mars at the mo. The other one is boxed up in the loft.
Will be doing more work tomorrow on the bigger shed though. Once habitable will get out the other Photon and also buy a BIG 3D printer so can do bigger items and speed up production.
Once practiced will bung some adverts in mags n stuff. The new shed will also provide room for laser cutters, millers or whatever else I may invest in. Do need to get into metal production though. Very desired. A meet up sounds good defo!
EDIT: Elegoo Mars 2 is not wotking now,the motors are struggling so sent them an email. Sigh. Was working great though. Date of edit Sun 25th July.
Saw the issue with Gordon shorting on the curve, weird but cool seeing your Thomas pull the bargain rake of Hornby's now coaches. Quite funny how he towers above them mind, pretty much the opposite of Stepney pulling a Balloon coach www.lbscrmodels.co.uk/Knowle2.jpg
_about 2.5 times bigger!
Wow that must be half of the NWR's fleet
Good to hear about the Photon fix but drag about the new Elgoo going awry so soon! Hopefully nothing too catastrophic or it at least being covered by the warranty period.
Once habitable will get out the other Photon and also buy a BIG 3D printer so can do bigger items and speed up production.
Saw the clean out operation......not looking forward to our barn coming down as likewise it's been used for years to store this and that! Anyhoo even ignoring the larger scale possibilities it all sounds promising for growing your business
NEC tickets aren't on sale yet but imagine it won't be too much longer. Sunday will be the 28th of Nov so got a little while to carry on saving some bread.
Inkwright: Yeah. It's terrifying.

MrMilkDuctor: Am having a feeling the reason why they made so goofy was because of the media making him like a bad controller after all the Henry controversy
Oct 11, 2021 21:31:29 GMT
OJ: I never liked TFC being a joke character either. In Buckled Tracks and Bumpy Trucks the public don't take him seriously. That's bad as he's supposed to be in charge of the railway and he's also a father figure to the engines.

OJ: The milkshake scene in Marvelous Machinery was a really bad Fat Controller moment too. He's alsomt turned into Homer Simpson.

waltwiz1901: (Re: media controversy) Could be. While I will admit to still liking Brenner-era Thomas, the way some of the characters are handled, especially the controller, is really all-over-the-place

MrMilkDuctor: You can’t also put all the blame on Brenner I think he would’ve made the era even more better if just Mattel wasn’t on his ears all the time constantly changing plans/script
Oct 12, 2021 3:26:59 GMT
The Thomas Cynic: (Re: Brenner) Yes, MrMilkDuctor, but at the same time you can't put all the blame on Mattel. As soon as something happens in the show we don't like, we can't just assume Mattel is behind it and did it to spite us or something.

Nicholas: Though the Brenner era didn't do wonders for TFC, I'd argue Brenner himself was careful to make the comedy around him incidental and not through his own buffoonery, such as the visual comedy of the inspector trying to take the slip of paper from him in JBS
Oct 12, 2021 11:11:23 GMT
Nicholas: The main exception to that, somewhat unusually, though, would be in The Adventure Begins, which is Brenner-penned but still sees TFC mishandling telephones and falling about quite a bit.

MrMilkDuctor: This is so weird to say favorite AEG episode so far?
Oct 14, 2021 9:41:28 GMT
MrMilkDuctor: I guess favorite is a strong word there a decent at best an episode that doesn’t wanna make you pull your eyes out

aspiegurl: I read a quote about if you were near an on steam engine because of the heat of the boiler and the sounds of it, "you'd swear it was alive." Is it different for us because of our show? Like I wonder if I'd need A Day Out With Thomas one to feel the effect.

Inkwright: Watch the episode Fish from Season 4 and you'll see how they were able to bring steam engines to life in a realistic and stunning way.
