That's one of my favourite things about your model work, Knuckles, the way you use the different face moulds. Most of them pictured there look very close to the TV originals - particularly Thomas' shocked expression and Diesel's angry grimace.
I really like your faces you made. I try to do the same, but with Bachmann's moving eyes, it is really hard to keep the circle. Your layout looks fantastic. I really like Henry too. I give you a 10 in everything!
Arr, I'm converting my Hornby model of Thomas into a better one. I'm unhappy with the cab, and the footplate is the one used before Thomas had his little accident with the Stationmaster. Also, his face is T.V. series-esque, which doesn't work with my RWS ideas, but I'm planning to change every face anyway, so this is the only face conversion I'm likely to show you (possibly with the exception of rolling stock, which is in fact, different.)
So, at the moment myself and a friend (Who has experience in kitbashing Warhammer models) are considering the many ways we can do so. We've decided that, after managing to remove the case from the working parts, that we will cut off everything below his face, and use modelling plastic to create a lower portion for his footplates, splashers and tanks, as you can see in any book taking place after "Branchline Engines".
Secondly, we will unclip his cab, which seems to be clip-able, and again, use modelling plastic to make a wider cab.
After gluing these on, we'll be ripping off his face to make a flatter, older-looking one, with thicker eyebrows. (Actually, his eyebrows are so thick, I think I might actually use some fine material to create fuzzy eyebrows, but that's another story).
Don't give me insistent humming,
Horns and bells, and distant drumming,
I want steam, that's under pressure
As it rises to a scream!
That is friggin awesome! Your Henry 1 pwns, and I love those faces! My favourite part has to be the screw link coupling! That makes it look just like the Tv model...except much better. You've got a real talent for this! Can't wait for your trilogy.
im trying to do the same with Henry making a LC model into Henry 1 using Gordon but i don't know how to do this. could anyone tell how? and plz tell how i can make new moulds using the lc models faces?
If it weren't for the static eyes I'd think it was a behind the scenes pic of the real deal!
As for the ferry, I like it a lot, and I'm sure you'll figure out a way to fit it into future storylines for your series. I'm not trying to build your layout for you, but a loading pier for it would be cool.
Due to extreme circumstances I have removed all of my Thomas-related pictures from my Majhost account. Sorry.
Here are my finnished TV Style Annie & Clarebele with incorrect roof vents
These plus the old coaches still de-rail often, I can't find what I'm doing wrong, I've added weight and tryed to make the chassis perfect but I sunno, I've even changed the wheel type, anyhow, hope you like them
With the faces, it isn't a pimple next to the miliput nose, but some thing with the moulding
A few trees I did
My second attempt at Gordon'e Sad / Bored face without fat lips!, will do another version with wider eyes and more sad eyebrows, as per Ep' 7
The older version 1
The older version modded as in Ep' 7 (Top Picture)

aspiegurl: IDK where you are but it aired first the year I was born and in reruns until '98. It's on Youtube and there's a wikia for it.

MrMilkDuctor: I was born in the 2000s so i I didn’t even watch the reruns from 1993 - 1998, as I said the only time I watch shining time STS was probably on a unknown channel but hey that’s cool to hear

dtchapman1: I suppose that is one thing we do have to consider on this forum now. We are pretty much at a point that new members are going to have grown up largely with the HiT era.

Two Red Engines: Me, I was born in '96. I didn't really see the episodes when they were first broadcast (Dad's job took us overseas), but I had several VHS tapes from S1-8 - including the AUS releases of Thomas & Gordon, Percy & Harold, Trust Thomas,...

MrMilkDuctor: Two red engines i had only Like 5 DVD’s when I was young sadly I lost 3 of them hopefully you kept all of your VHS tapes
Sept 21, 2021 23:37:21 GMT
Two Red Engines: Thanks! I think I managed to keep most of them (mainly the individual S1-4 releases, as well as my Series 5 box set), as well as two DVDs, an S1-5 compilation ('Truck Loads of Fun') and a Series 6 release, ('The Chocolate Crunch')...
Sept 21, 2021 23:41:07 GMT
Two Red Engines: ...but some were lost to time, and others (mainly the S8 releases!) were just simply given away. Still have about 5 VHS releases (6 if you count the fact that my S5 box set came with two tapes) and those two DVDs, though, so not too bad in my opinion.
Sept 21, 2021 23:42:55 GMT
Two Red Engines: Say, anyone still got copies of their Railway Series books? Me, I've still got my 1997 edition of 'The Complete Collection' (the Gawdry version!), as well as RWS volumes 31, 32 and 40 (along with some stories from RWS 28 and 30 from the TTTE Book Club).
Sept 21, 2021 23:45:44 GMT
MrMilkDuctor: Solid collection right there!
Sept 22, 2021 0:05:56 GMT
MrMilkDuctor: I have the complete first series of the classic collection DVD from 2003 the one that has a menu option,I might post that later and a another one from the hit era a steam team DVD these are the only ones I still have .

MrMilkDuctor: Classic Thomas is gonna come back?
Sept 22, 2021 10:15:53 GMT
MrMilkDuctor: Or did I just read that in a wrong way
Sept 22, 2021 10:19:38 GMT
whosgeoffrey: I'm personally inclined to think of it as just another one of Allcroft's very heart-warming messages to the adult fanbase. If she is doing something new with Thomas, I doubt it'll be new episodes, though — maybe the biography she mentioned some time ago?
Sept 22, 2021 12:36:14 GMT
MrMilkDuctor: Yeah that could be true
