I suspect they know by now, just a question of how determined they are to get around the issue. It took quite some time for Channel 4/E4/More 4 Catch Up to get rid of the advert freeze issue that effected a certain percentage of viewers for example.
Not quite Duke but as Bachmann aren't likely to tool him anyway Palmerston will soonish be a repaintable option.
Something else I'm curious about: Does S scale (1:64) have a following in the UK? It's not super popular in the US, but it has an insanely loyal following, but it does have a stronger presence than TT.
Speaking of TT, I really wish that it would've caught on, because if it did, I'd probably be modelling in that instead of HO.
Well Prince and Princess are to be tooled for green and maroon livery for about £130 it seems, more updates on the Small England project will come as and when.
I remember seeing a S scale layout at Wells about four years ago, really threw me off at I had no idea about the existence of 1/64! The saddle tank (a Hunslet kit one I think) did look top quality and I can see the advantage over fiddly 4mm but like 31/2 gauge with G, G3 and 5inch gauge doing respectfully it's something that doesn't especially need to exist anymore except for historical sake. With TT this is even more true as 2, 3.5 and 4mm are fractionally either side of it. Basically if you like being a contrarian/lone wolf it offers you the high likelyhood that whatever you choose to model will be unique and 3D printing has opened up its market protential a little in recent years but it can never really gain too much of a base when N, HO and OO have so much more kit and RTR support and is where most people start with modelling. Guessing you know about 5.5 as well but I do recall seeing a Dolgoch example in an exhibition cabinet, twas very cute! www.5andahalf.info/gallery_ms.php Beside those examples I can't say if I've seen much of those scales in either mag articles or close up but know they will never die out in Britain either.
Falcon if there's something you're hankering to order from Shapeways and you can't use another server to get in I might be able to order whatever it is if you can PayPal me the amount back, PM if you do.
Sleeper Agent Well... I'm not planning on ordering anything from Shapeways… not yet at least and also it looks like they've finally fixed the bug that was messing things up for IE users since the pages are viewable again.
And a RTR 009 Small England? Looks like I now have better replacements for the old Langley Models kits I "was" originally going to use for my 009 Duke and Bertram ^^

Any word on if either of the two models will be DCC ready? I’m really excited for the George England locos! The day before they were announced, i was thinking about how neat it would have been if they were produced in 009 and was excited when they were announced by KATO
No pics of the beading on the headstock sides to compare annoyingly but as they're doing the Wight stock I assume that batch at least will match up with the Tenmille kits. Anyway here's a S1 and S2 recolouring quckie.
OO gauge started with HO gauge track to save costs. This practice stuck. The only difference would be the UK OO stock would look larger on a US HO layout & the US HO stock woild look smaller on the UK OO layout. A lot of people wouldn't even notice.
The irony of the Bachmann & Hornby lines was,if you put them on the others track, they'd work EXACTLY the same.

Peco track is either 00 or H0. They have altered the sleeper spacing regarding whether you model in H0 (3.5mm scale) or 00 (4mm scale) but you could run stock on either as the gauge is the same. That stems back years when manufacturers in the UK didn't want to try and make smaller motors to fit into locos so they just upped the scale by half a mill but still run on the same track. H0 is correct for the 16.5mm track it runs on. EM and P4 developed for those modelling in 4mm scale that wanted more accurate track in terms of gauge and sleeper spacing
Lately been doing my own custom work and some who may be following me on Twitter, know what Im up to. Currently Im customising an 00 gauge LNER N2 into Ryan. Completely new livery lining transfers etc. Here is a shot so far from beginning to current state. I have loads more images but this just helps break down the six stages I have done.
Hey Thomas modelling experts, I know that Season 1 Annie & Clarabel, Henrietta, Express Coaches, Troublesome Trucks, Vans, Tankers, & Brake vans (including Toad & The Spiteful) are made out of Tenmille Gauge 1 Models, my question is, does Tenmille still make these models in Gauge 1, I might be wanting to do a little modelling project.
As Ian mentioned elsewhere Tenmille's site lists what they currently make
I don't believe there have been any Stroudley coach releases in G1 since Tenmille stopped making the vacuumforms but recall someone was designing home versions based on the now scares kits....think that's fallen into limbo though, anyone?
Some prints based on the other early stock have started to appear,

Re: The HO-OO discussion..
First, something I've noticed that people in some places aren't clear on: The Bachmann Thomas range is in fact British OO and OO9 marketed as HO and HOe. The engines' buffers and couplers line up well with OO rolling stock, measurement-wise the engines match up better to OO than HO (even accounting for the eyeballed measurements of models made before the CGI shift), HO people miniatures are at a height disadvantage in the cabs. The rolling stock not specifically developed for Thomas is actually recycled old Mainline (IIRC) toolings, which is why the bogie coaches are LMS Bain carraiges instead of shortie SR Maunsell carriages.
Second.. Whether OO uses HO-gauge track or not depends on whether you're talking British OO or American OO. American OO, as once made by Lionel, is more along the lines of EM or P4- the track gauge is closer to scale width.
Please don't mind the "Death to Eclipse" signboards and captions, that's just me badmouthing my imagehost over forcing a rubbish UI on me. But they're still better than Photobucket and the pics stay up so..
MrMilkDuctor: Most of them are hit era which I don’t mind since this is the I grew up on

aspiegurl: IDK where you are but it aired first the year I was born and in reruns until '98. It's on Youtube and there's a wikia for it.
Sept 21, 2021 21:20:27 GMT
MrMilkDuctor: I was born in the 2000s so i I didn’t even watch the reruns from 1993 - 1998, as I said the only time I watch shining time STS was probably on a unknown channel but hey that’s cool to hear
Sept 21, 2021 22:02:48 GMT
dtchapman1: I suppose that is one thing we do have to consider on this forum now. We are pretty much at a point that new members are going to have grown up largely with the HiT era.

Two Red Engines: Me, I was born in '96. I didn't really see the episodes when they were first broadcast (Dad's job took us overseas), but I had several VHS tapes from S1-8 - including the AUS releases of Thomas & Gordon, Percy & Harold, Trust Thomas,...
Sept 21, 2021 23:22:57 GMT
Two Red Engines: Story & Song Collection, and Thomas & The Special Letter!
Sept 21, 2021 23:23:27 GMT
MrMilkDuctor: The hit era is actually decent compare to what we have now also the merchandise was just incredible
Sept 21, 2021 23:33:57 GMT
MrMilkDuctor: Two red engines i had only Like 5 DVD’s when I was young sadly I lost 3 of them hopefully you kept all of your VHS tapes
Sept 21, 2021 23:37:21 GMT
Two Red Engines: Thanks! I think I managed to keep most of them (mainly the individual S1-4 releases, as well as my Series 5 box set), as well as two DVDs, an S1-5 compilation ('Truck Loads of Fun') and a Series 6 release, ('The Chocolate Crunch')...
Sept 21, 2021 23:41:07 GMT
Two Red Engines: ...but some were lost to time, and others (mainly the S8 releases!) were just simply given away. Still have about 5 VHS releases (6 if you count the fact that my S5 box set came with two tapes) and those two DVDs, though, so not too bad in my opinion.
Sept 21, 2021 23:42:55 GMT
Two Red Engines: Say, anyone still got copies of their Railway Series books? Me, I've still got my 1997 edition of 'The Complete Collection' (the Gawdry version!), as well as RWS volumes 31, 32 and 40 (along with some stories from RWS 28 and 30 from the TTTE Book Club).
Sept 21, 2021 23:45:44 GMT
MrMilkDuctor: Solid collection right there!
Sept 22, 2021 0:05:56 GMT
MrMilkDuctor: I have the complete first series of the classic collection DVD from 2003 the one that has a menu option,I might post that later and a another one from the hit era a steam team DVD these are the only ones I still have .
Sept 22, 2021 0:06:33 GMT
MrMilkDuctor: Classic Thomas is gonna come back?
Sept 22, 2021 10:15:53 GMT
MrMilkDuctor: Or did I just read that in a wrong way
Sept 22, 2021 10:19:38 GMT
whosgeoffrey: I'm personally inclined to think of it as just another one of Allcroft's very heart-warming messages to the adult fanbase. If she is doing something new with Thomas, I doubt it'll be new episodes, though — maybe the biography she mentioned some time ago?
Sept 22, 2021 12:36:14 GMT
MrMilkDuctor: Yeah that could be true
