Sleeper Agent: I find it disappointing He-Man used his sword more as a shield and never punched anyone. Apr 15, 2021 21:27:14 GMT
Madness: The best way to help you not get duplicates Christian, is to look at the number code on the back of the pack. Each mini has a code. Apr 15, 2021 23:05:41 GMT
Christian: Thank you, Madness. Apr 15, 2021 23:56:49 GMT
zeldatheswordsm: Tip for anyone wanting to add tank rivets to a Hornby Thomas: The lining provides a perfect height guide Apr 17, 2021 0:51:48 GMT
zeldatheswordsm: It does not however prevent such calculation errors as dividing a riveted length by the number of rivets to determine spacing, when actually you should divide by one less than the number of rivets. Apr 17, 2021 3:56:09 GMT
zeldatheswordsm: So if I want to fix that I'm going to have to fill and re-drill (again). Apr 17, 2021 3:56:32 GMT
The Thomas Cynic: New video, quite short, about Fergus and how his basis makes him one of Sodor's forgotten greats: www.youtube.com/watch?v=zBKGrRla034 Apr 17, 2021 10:35:00 GMT
harperman: Just started me own RWS Styled book thing in the Your own Railway Series styled storys thing Apr 17, 2021 16:42:53 GMT
toadthegwrbrakevan: Christian I would buy the Multi-packs, when Minis first came I only got the Packs I didn't want to get stuck with junk only a few years ago I got the blind bags and sometimes they were great(Once I got Rosie & Ferdinand), and then there's Sushi Hiro Apr 17, 2021 17:27:42 GMT
zeldatheswordsm: Ideas for justifying Thomas' splashers pre-crash: Bodge repair done with material salvaged from wrecked (or started-then-canceled) loco, ersatz sandboxes, or repositioned and shrouded pump equipment. Any of these seem viable? Apr 17, 2021 18:53:32 GMT
harperman: and my RWS Styled book thing has all 4 Storys, lemme know what ya think of it if you'd like to see it and want to give me feedback :) Apr 17, 2021 21:45:12 GMT
zeldatheswordsm: Oh, here's an idea for justifying the splashers: Aesthetically-disguised ballasting to mitigate the E2's oscillation problems Apr 18, 2021 8:51:34 GMT
OJ: Talking of Minis anyone remember the Ertl Miniture range in the early 90's? Those toys were good. I used to have the playset for that. Apr 18, 2021 13:55:14 GMT
stuart7: OJ, yes I remember the ERTL range well from my younger days. I gradually built up a vast collection, one per month, from the late 80s through to the late 90s, even taking some of them on holiday with me as far afield as North Wales and Orlando. Apr 18, 2021 20:20:08 GMT *
stuart7: (Cont'd from previous post). I remember, when I volunteered on the Gwili Railway, back in September 2004, I received the startling news from a colleague that we were selling the last of the ERTL models. He said that they'd just gone bankrupt. What a shame. Apr 18, 2021 21:57:01 GMT
OJ: Ertl did the Thomas toys justice shame they went bankrupt. Apr 18, 2021 22:40:37 GMT
Madness: I loved collecting the ERTL Miniatures. They were fun to get :) . Apr 18, 2021 23:58:23 GMT
toadthegwrbrakevan: I've never had any Mini ERTLs, but they look cool. I'd definitely want some. Apr 19, 2021 0:48:13 GMT *
zeldatheswordsm: The Ertl toys were good in several ways, but I think they had 3 main issues: The couplers (uniderectional, and the hooks break too easily), long fixed wheelbases on larger engines, and distribution troubles w/the track and rolling stock Apr 19, 2021 3:30:16 GMT *
OJ: I liked the miniture playsets. I got Harold with airport. I hear they did a Mavis and Henry minityre but I never saw those two. Apr 19, 2021 9:46:44 GMT
